Description
The Project Telecom PT103-CB Autodial Outdoor Phone is a rugged industrial communication device developed for environments where fast and dependable voice communication is critical.
Featuring straightforward lift-to-call autodial functionality, the PT103-CB automatically connects users to a pre-configured contact when the handset is lifted, making it ideally suited to emergency assistance points, industrial facilities, transport networks and public-access locations. Available with Analogue, SIP or GSM / 4G mobile network connectivity, the PT103-CB can be deployed across conventional telephony systems, IP-based communications platforms or mobile network infrastructures, providing a highly versatile communication solution.
Constructed from corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminium and incorporating an open-access weatherproof design, IP66-rated environmental protection and vandal-resistant construction, the PT103-CB is engineered to provide dependable operation in demanding indoor and outdoor applications. Available in Yellow, Blue, Red and Grey finishes, the telephone can be selected to meet site-specific visibility, safety or aesthetic requirements.
Suitable for manufacturing plants, warehouses, utility facilities, transport hubs, ports, tunnels, marine environments, car parks, construction sites, security installations and public help points, the PT103-CB combines industrial durability with flexible connectivity options for mission-critical communication applications.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
The PT103-CB has been designed for locations where communication equipment may be exposed to adverse weather, dust, moisture, impacts or vandalism. Its heavy-duty die-cast aluminium enclosure and industrial-grade epoxy powder-coated finish provide excellent resistance to corrosion and environmental wear.
Rated to IP66, the enclosure helps protect against dust ingress and water exposure, making it suitable for exposed outdoor installations. Unlike door-equipped weatherproof telephones, the PT103-CB features an open-access design that allows immediate handset access without requiring the user to open a protective cover.
Whether installed in rail networks, industrial plants, utility facilities, tunnels, transport infrastructure, warehouses or public environments, the PT103-CB delivers reliable communications where durability and performance are essential.
Its vandal-resistant construction, reinforced handset cord and robust internal components make it particularly well suited to high-use public locations, remote installations and critical infrastructure applications.
Simple Hotline Operation
Designed for intuitive operation, the PT103-CB eliminates the need for keypad dialling. When the handset is lifted, the telephone automatically places a call to a programmed destination number.
This lift-to-call functionality provides immediate access to security teams, control rooms, help desks, emergency services or site personnel, helping to improve response times while simplifying operation for users.
An integrated inductive coupler is included as standard to assist hearing aid users, while a high-output warble ringer helps ensure incoming calls are clearly audible in noisy industrial and outdoor environments.
Built for Reliable Long-Term Service
Developed for continuous operation in demanding conditions, the PT103-CB combines a corrosion-resistant aluminium housing with a stainless-steel armoured handset cord to provide excellent durability.
With an MTBF exceeding 50,000 hours, the telephone is designed to reduce maintenance requirements while maximising operational availability in critical communication applications.
The electric and magnetic hook switch incorporates no visible moving parts, helping minimise wear and further enhancing long-term reliability.
Connectivity Options
The PT103-CB is available in three connectivity variants, allowing deployment across a wide range of communication infrastructures.
Analogue Version
The analogue model connects directly to standard analogue telephone lines, including PSTN and analogue PABX systems. Powered from the telephone line itself, it provides a straightforward and dependable communication solution for sites operating traditional telephony systems.
The analogue version supports DTMF remote programming, lift-to-call autodial functionality and incoming call capability.
SIP Version
The SIP model connects directly to SIP telephone systems, hosted VoIP platforms and IP-PBX networks through standard Ethernet connections. Supporting SIP 2.0, dual SIP server registration, PoE and browser-based configuration, it provides a scalable communication solution for modern IP telephony environments.
Support for G.711A/u, G.722, G.723.1, G.726 and G.729 codecs, together with echo cancellation, VLAN, DHCP, PPPoE and STUN functionality, delivers enterprise-level voice performance.
GSM / 4G Mobile Network Version
The GSM / 4G variant operates via GSM and 4G LTE mobile networks using a Micro SIM card, making it ideal for locations where fixed telephone lines or network infrastructure are unavailable.
Supporting multiple LTE, WCDMA and GSM frequency bands, the telephone can be remotely configured via SMS and provides status reporting functionality to simplify management and maintenance.
This version is particularly suitable for remote infrastructure, utility installations, transport networks, temporary projects and construction sites.
Available Colour Options
The PT103-CB is available in Yellow, Blue, Red and Grey finishes, allowing the telephone to be matched to site safety requirements, visibility preferences or installation aesthetics.
